WHAT IS THE GHOSTSKATE TOGETHER INITIATIVE?

To continue bringing people together and making the skateboarding community more accessible during the pandemic, Ghostskate has launched The Ghostskate Together Initiative.

 

Ghostskate is now working with community members that want to post and curate local MeetUp events. A minimum of 5 member sign ups to makes the event official, a maximum of 10 keeps it within social distancing standards.

HOW IT WORKS!

Find a great local skate spot where a group of 5-10 people can gather and skateboard safely!

Submit the skate spot to the Ghostskate Together Initiative by filling out the THE SKATE SPOT FORM

Soon, A Ghostskate Organizer will message you to coordinate the skate and post the event on MeetUp!

The MeetUp event will be scheduled with 1 to 2 weeks notice. Once the skate has at least 5 members signed up it's official, green lit, Good.To.Go!

Strengthen our community by posting about the event on SM using the tag #Ghostskate & #GhostskateTogether to promote visibility and accountability.

Ghostskate asks that all members observe the following Community Values when joining any Ghostskate event.

  • Our gathering spaces are safe spaces. We won't condone any behavior that intentionally makes another feel unsafe or unwelcome. Lewd behavior will not be tolerated.

 

  • Please make friends! We encourage everyone to get to know each other, but this comes with mutual respect. If someone asks to be left alone, or for a behavior to stop, please take it seriously and heed the request.

  • If you have a question or an idea speak up! We are always happy to help or try a new good idea.Always wear your helmet!

To bring skateboarders together in a safe social distancing manner that continues to safeguard our members. Ghostskate is continuing its mission to bring people together and make the skateboarding community more accessible. The Ghostskate Together Initiative allows us to do this while reducing our member's exposure during a pandemic.
